Brighton is a unique small town community with convenient access to the attractions and resources of Denver. Brighton's highway access is without peer. Highways 85 and 76 border Brighton to the West and East with quick connections to E470 and Denver International Airport. Brighton's 27J School District is poised for growth and continues to add new schools to accommodate the recent increase in enrollment. The district's average student to teacher ratio is 19.6 to 1 and is one of the few districts boasting strong financial health.

The City of Brighton has adopted both an Urban Renewal Authority and a Downtown Development Authority in order to encourage existing and new business to redevelop "old town". A current project scheduled to open Spring 2005 includes pedestrian friendly walkways, restaurants, shops and a new Cineplex.
